Kwara Governor Orders Security Reinforcement After Fresh Bandit Attacks in Eruku

The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has ordered an urgent boost in security presence in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area, following another round of bandit attacks on Tuesday.

Armed men stormed the Christ Apostolic Church, killing three worshippers and abducting the pastor along with several others. Later that same evening, another group of gunmen attacked travellers on the Ilorin–Kabba Road, forcing many to run into nearby bushes for safety.

Police confirmed two deaths and said a vigilante member was injured during the attack

Governor AbdulRazaq strongly condemned the incident and expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for deploying 900 additional troops to Kwara to help restore security.

Residents of Eruku, who say their community has suffered repeated attacks for three weeks, are urgently calling on authorities for immediate protection and support.
