Lagos Assembly Speaker Obasa Mourns the Loss of His Father

Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has announced the passing of his father, Pa Suleimon Atanda Obasa. Pa Obasa, a respected businessman and community leader, died early Tuesday at the age of 83.

The news was conveyed in a statement by Eromosele Ebhomele, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker. Pa Obasa was well-regarded for his ventures in the oil and gas and transportation sectors, where he owned multiple filling stations. He also made significant contributions to farming, which empowered many citizens.

A devout Muslim, Pa Obasa dedicated his life to serving Allah and aiding the less privileged. His philanthropic efforts and community service left a lasting impact on many lives. He is survived by his wives, children, and grandchildren, including the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Pa Obasa’s funeral will take place at 4 pm in the Agege area of Lagos State, following Islamic rites.
