A tragic incident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway claimed one life and left five others injured in a lone accident on Tuesday. Florence Okpe, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, confirmed this in a telephone conversation. The accident, involving 23 individuals, all male, occurred around the Fidiwo axis of the expressway.
Okpe attributed the cause of the accident to a tyre burst and speeding. She emphasized the importance of exercising caution while driving on the expressway to prevent such tragedies. Okpe urged motorists to drive responsibly to avoid unnecessary loss of lives.
