Lagos State Governor Appoints Basirat Damilola Marshall (KWAM1’s Daughter) as Senior Special Assistant on Tourism

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has appointed Basirat Damilola Marshall, daughter of Fuji music maestro, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (KWAM1), as his Senior Special Assistant on Tourism. This announcement was made in a viral video showing KWAM1 thanking the governor for the appointment during a performance at the coronation and birthday reception of Oba Sikirullah Apena.

In the video, KWAM1 expressed gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu for appointing his daughter, Damilola, into his cabinet. Congratulatory messages flooded Damilola's Instagram page, with well-wishers acknowledging her hard work and contributions to the party. Damilola, who was a principal partner at a law firm, Damilola Ayinde Marshal and Co., received warm wishes for a successful tenure in her new role.

Efforts to reach the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Lagos State Governor, Gboyega Akosile, for confirmation were unsuccessful at the time of this report.
