Lagos State Invests in Future Leaders with New School Infrastructure

Dr. Kadri Hamzat, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, has reaffirmed the government's dedication to nurturing the future generation through enhanced educational infrastructure. Speaking at the inauguration of the Akinsanya Ajaloleru Nursery and Primary School in Oke Afa, Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Hamzat emphasized the pivotal role of education and technology in the state's developmental agenda under T.H.E.M.E.S Plus.

Highlighting the significance of the new school, Hamzat pointed out that its establishment was prompted by the community's demand for accessible public education, particularly for children in Ilamoshe. He underscored the school's potential to offer competitive quality education at an affordable cost, thereby alleviating the burden on parents and improving safety by reducing traffic risks for students.

Encouraging community involvement, Hamzat urged residents to take ownership of the school and ensure its maintenance for the benefit of future generations. He lauded Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello, Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, for his effective leadership and commitment to local development, expressing gratitude on behalf of the Ejigbo community.

In response, Chairman Bello outlined the transformative impact of the school in providing a viable alternative to expensive private education, particularly given its strategic location near Ajao Estate and the International Airport. He highlighted the enrollment of over 350 students within the first three months and praised the aesthetic appeal and quality of teachers provided by SUBEB.

Lagos State House of Assembly member Ladi Ajomale commended Chairman Bello for his outstanding leadership and urged continued focus on infrastructure projects to enhance living standards in Ejigbo LCDA. He emphasized the chairman's proactive approach in delivering infrastructure that rivals private institutions in the area, challenging misconceptions about local government performance.

The inauguration of Akinsanya Ajaloleru Nursery and Primary School signifies Lagos State's commitment to fostering educational excellence and socio-economic growth within local communities, setting a precedent for accessible, quality education in the region.
