Sky News in the UK briefly went off air due to the outages, with an on-screen message apologizing for the interruption. Additionally, Sydney airport saw flights grounded, United Airlines halted operations, and the London Stock Exchange Group faced platform interruptions.
Microsoft confirmed that a configuration change in their Azure backend caused connectivity failures affecting Microsoft 365 services. The impacted services include PowerBI, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 admin center, with ongoing efforts to mitigate the issues.
