Women Affairs Minister Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye halted an event on women's role in food security, citing unauthorized use of her ministry's name. The event, organized by Mela-Chiyoma PAT Limited, was carried out without her consent, prompting her to intervene and accuse the organizers of impersonation.
Kennedy-Ohanenye, addressing the attendees, revealed that the organizers had been arrested for their actions. She emphasized that the event was held without proper authorization and criticized the use of the ministry's name without permission.
In a video shared by The ICIR, the minister expressed her disapproval, stating that such actions were unacceptable and that even the President was displeased. She insisted the event could not proceed under these circumstances, underscoring the seriousness of the offense.
