Minor Fire at Dangote Refinery Quickly Contained, No Injuries Reported

A fire broke out at the Dangote Refinery in Lagos State on Wednesday, June 26, but was swiftly contained without causing any injuries. According to Anthony Chiejina, the Group’s Chief Branding and Communication Officer, the minor incident occurred at the refinery's effluent treatment plant (ETP).

Chiejina reassured the public that there was no need for alarm, as operations at the refinery continued without interruption. He emphasized that all staff members on duty were safe and uninjured, underscoring the effectiveness of the refinery's emergency response protocols.
