NAF to Deploy Quick Response Wing in Northwest to Boost Security

The Chief of Air Staff, Hasan Abubakar, has revealed plans to deploy a Quick Response Wing to the Northwest region, aimed at enhancing military presence in vulnerable communities. The Quick Response Wing will consist of troops on standby, ready to swiftly respond to emergencies. Abubakar disclosed this during an operational tour of the Air Component of Operation HADARIN DAJI and the 213 Forward Operating Base in Katsina State.

Abubakar emphasized the Nigerian Air Force's (NAF) intensified airstrikes against criminal elements in the region and the need for a comprehensive strategy beyond military action to achieve lasting peace. He assured Katsina State Governor, Diko Radda, that the Air Force would continue to protect farmers during the upcoming harvest season, attributing recent security successes to the governor’s strong security measures.

Governor Radda expressed confidence in the military’s efforts to safeguard farmers, lauding the NAF’s commitment to securing the region. He pledged continued collaboration with the military to protect the lives and livelihoods of the people of Katsina State.

The governor also expressed optimism that the increased military presence and protection of farming activities would create a safe environment for the upcoming harvest season, further supporting the state’s agricultural economy.
