The body of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, has arrived at the Nigerian Air Force wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. The arrival, precisely at 9 a.m., marked a somber moment as military personnel and officials paid their respects to a leader who recently served with distinction. The Nigerian Army confirmed that plans for his interment are underway, with the final farewell scheduled for Friday.
Lt. Gen. Lagbaja, who passed away on November 6, 2024, was appointed to his role by the President on June 19, 2023, alongside other Service Chiefs. His contributions and dedication to the Nigerian Armed Forces have left a profound impact on the nation’s security and military strategy.
