Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged a strong response to Iran’s recent missile attack, in which approximately 180 missiles were launched toward Israel. “Iran made a big mistake, and it will pay for it,” Netanyahu stated during a Security Cabinet meeting focused on Israel’s ground campaign in Lebanon and potential countermeasures against Iran.
Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari confirmed that several Iranian missiles struck central and southern Israel, although many were intercepted by air defense systems. Tragically, a 38-year-old Palestinian was killed when one of the missiles exploded near Jericho in the occupied West Bank, while there have been no immediate reports of Israeli casualties.
