The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has set up temporary channels on social media to handle complaints from the public after its main support accounts were taken down.
In a public announcement posted on X on Tuesday, the service explained that the new channels were created to ensure that applicants can still reach them for help with passport and visa-related issues.
According to the statement, Nigerians who are facing challenges with their applications can now send in their complaints through the temporary X handles @InquireAtNaija, @nigimmigration, and @InquireAtNaija_, as well as through Instagram.
Complaints can also be forwarded via email to nisresponse@immigration.gov.ng.

The NIS advised applicants to include important details such as their full name, application number, reference number, mode of application, passport number, location, and email address to make it easier to resolve issues quickly.
The service thanked the public for their patience and assured Nigerians of its commitment to providing timely support.
The temporary channels will remain open while the service works to restore its original support platforms.
