Nigeria’s Inflation Rate Surges to 24.23% in March 2025, Up from 23.18% in February

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has announced that Nigeria’s headline inflation rate increased by 4.4 percentage points, rising to 24.23% in March 2025, up from 23.18% in February 2025.

The NBS disclosed this in its Consumer Price Index (CPI) report for March 2025, which indicated a 4.40-point rise in the CPI, bringing it to 117.34. The data shows a continued upward trend in inflation, with the March figure marking a 1.05% increase compared to February 2025.

This surge in inflation highlights the ongoing economic challenges in the country, contributing to rising costs of goods and services for Nigerians.
