Nollywood Mourns: Actor Junior Pope Confirmed Dead in Tragic Boat Accident

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has officially confirmed the passing of Nollywood actor John Paul Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope. Junior Pope and three others tragically passed away on Wednesday after their boat capsized in the Anam River in Anambra State at a film location.

In a Facebook post on Thursday morning, the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, initially announced Junior Pope's survival upon noticing the tingling of his fingers, but later confirmed his passing. Despite attempts to resuscitate him at two notable hospitals, Junior Pope could not be revived.

Emeka Rollas expressed his condolences, stating, "God knows the best. We finally lost him. Mr. Friday's corpse has been identified, but three other corpses are yet to be found." The tragic incident has deeply saddened the Nollywood community, and efforts are ongoing to recover the bodies of the remaining missing individuals.

The passing of Junior Pope and the other individuals involved in the boat accident has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry. The AGN and the entire Nollywood community mourn the loss of these talented individuals and extend their heartfelt condolences to their families and loved ones during this difficult time.
