The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has imposed a series of hefty sanctions on Enyimba International FC and Rangers International FC following the dramatic matchday 35 fixture between the two teams.
Enyimba was fined N10 million and ordered to forfeit the match to Rangers, while Rangers was fined N5 million for multiple infractions, including over-ticketing, inadequate security measures, and poor crowd control.

The sanctions were issued after the match was abandoned due to fan invasion and protests over a penalty awarded to Rangers.
The NPFL has also ordered both clubs to implement improved crowd control measures and has given them a 48-hour ultimatum to comply with the sanctions or face additional penalties.
