The paramount ruler of Ugbo Kingdom in Ondo State, Oba Fredrick Akinruntan (Okoro Ajiga I), has extended his congratulations to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on his victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary held last Saturday. In a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Prince Ademibo Akingboye, Oba Akinruntan hailed the governor's win as a "destined victory."
The Ondo APC Election Committee Chairman and Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, officially declared Governor Aiyedatiwa as the winner of the primary, confirming his victory in 16 out of the 18 local government areas in the state. Oba Akinruntan emphasized the commitment of traditional institutions to collaborate with the state government in promoting harmony and peace.
The esteemed monarch called upon the residents to rally behind Governor Aiyedatiwa's bid for re-election. He also expressed appreciation to the residents of Ilaje Local Government for their peaceful conduct during the primary. Additionally, Oba Akinruntan commended APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje and Governor Ododo for ensuring a peaceful and violence-free primary process.
