Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated ₦1 billion to support victims of recent flooding in Mokwa Local Government Area, Niger State. The donation was made on Tuesday through her Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) during a condolence visit to the state.
Accompanied by her aides, the First Lady presented the cheque and relief materials to Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago at the Government House in Minna. The gesture follows heavy downpours that wreaked havoc in Mokwa, destroying homes, farmlands, and infrastructure, and displacing hundreds of residents.
The donation aims to assist in resettlement efforts and provide immediate relief to the affected communities.
