Ondo Ex-Speaker Backs Senator Ibrahim for Governor, Dismisses Endorsement Rumors

Former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Bamidele Oleyelogun, has endorsed Senator Jimoh Ibrahim for governorship, not Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa as erroneously reported by some media outlets. Oleyelogun emphasized that his support for Senator Ibrahim is unwavering and based on the aspirant's qualifications and capabilities.

In a statement, Oleyelogun explained that he and other former Speakers visited Governor Ayedatiwa to seek sponsorship for their attendance at the Conference of Former Speakers Forum in Adamawa State. He stated that, contrary to reports, their visit was not for the purpose of endorsing the Governor.

Oleyelogun reiterated his endorsement of Senator Ibrahim for the Ondo State governorship race in the 2024 elections. He praised Ibrahim's experience, business acumen, philanthropy, charisma, and capacity to lead Ondo State to greater heights.

He also reaffirmed his loyalty to his late Principal, referring to Governor Ayedatiwa, and expressed his commitment to working with Senator Ibrahim to actualize the latter's ambition of becoming the governor of Ondo State.
