Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has announced that the payment of the new minimum wage of ₦73,000 for civil servants will begin in November. Speaking in Akure, Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his commitment to improving the welfare of civil servants, underscoring his administration’s focus on a supportive work environment.
Aiyedatiwa revealed that the committee responsible for structuring the wage implementation has completed its report and awaits his final approval to initiate payment. As he campaigns for re-election ahead of the November 16th governorship poll, Aiyedatiwa pledged to surpass his current achievements, especially in worker welfare, to encourage maximum productivity among civil servants.
Ondo’s Head of Service, Mr. Bayo Philips, commended the governor for his continued support, noting that these efforts have fostered a conducive environment for civil servants across the state.
