Oyo State Begins CBT for Primary School Teacher Recruitment

The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OyoSUBEB) has announced that the computer-based test (CBT) for the recruitment of primary school teachers will take place from Monday, July 22 to Friday, July 26, 2024. Nureni Adeniran, the Chairman of OyoSUBEB, revealed this in Ibadan on Wednesday, stating that 50,097 applicants have qualified to participate in the tests.

Adeniran confirmed that the specific dates and times for each applicant have been communicated via email and phone. He urged all applicants to regularly check their emails and phones for these details. The tests will be held at the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre, Computer Based Testing Centre, Ajibode, Ibadan, chosen for its reputable history in conducting such examinations.

Applicants are instructed to print copies of their CBT examination schedules and application print-outs, which must bear their passport photos from the job portal. These documents are necessary for entry into the examination hall. Adeniran emphasized that applicants must adhere to their assigned times and dates, as loitering around the centre will not be tolerated.

Successful candidates from the CBT will proceed to oral interviews. Adeniran reassured applicants of the Board’s commitment to a transparent process and advised them to rely only on official updates from the Board to avoid falling victim to scammers. He also mentioned that the Board aims to complete the recruitment process promptly to integrate successful candidates into the state's ongoing basic education reforms.
