Pandemonium in Osogbo as Private Car Crushes Fashion Designer, Okada Rider to Death

In Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, pandemonium erupted as a private car collided with a fashion designer and an Okada rider, resulting in their tragic deaths. The incident took place around 9:10 PM on Friday at Ogo-Oluwa area adjacent to Baba Wande Junction.

According to a resident named Yusuf, the passenger of the Okada rider, identified as Seun, was a fashion designer working with a property company in Osogbo. Seun was returning from Orisunbare where she had gone to purchase sewing materials when the accident occurred. The Okada rider attempted to cross the road to the junction of Seun's house using one-way, leading to the fatal collision with the oncoming private car.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident, stating that it involved a Toyota Rav 4 Jeep with registration number Abuja, KUJ 417 DH, driven by Dauda Tewogbade, and a Baja motorcycle with registration number Osun, SGB 708 UH. The collision resulted in the tragic deaths of both the Okada rider and the fashion designer.

The accident has sparked concerns among residents about the need for road safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future. The police have urged motorists and Okada riders to adhere to traffic regulations to avoid accidents. The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue, while investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
