Some leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti South have rejected purported plans by some members of the State Working Committee to zone offices ahead of the party's congress. The leaders expressed their dissatisfaction with the zoning plan and cautioned against actions that could lead to unnecessary crisis within the party.
The rejection of the zoning plans was communicated in a communiqué issued after a meeting, and signed by notable figures including former Acting Governor Diran Odeyemi, Publicity Secretary (Southwest) Sanya Atofarati, Mrs. Titi Akindahunsi, Chief Bade Adara, and Chairman of Ekiti South Chief Tijani, among others. The leaders emphasized the need for the party's leadership to avoid any actions that could create divisions within the party, especially as the congress approaches.
