Commissioner of Police CP Aboki Danjuma has condemned a video circulating on social media captioned 'Mufara Zarga Zarga Emo State,' which falsely depicts massive destruction of a popular market in Avu, Owerri West Local Government Area, Imo State. Danjuma clarified that the video is misleading and unfounded.

In his statement, Danjuma said, "We urge the public to disregard this video, as the alleged fire outbreak actually occurred in 2023. We are working to ensure public safety and prevent unnecessary apprehension." He emphasized that the video is not reflective of any current events.

To address the situation, Danjuma directed the State Intelligence Department to identify and apprehend those responsible for spreading the false information. "Misinformation can harm public safety, and we will not tolerate it," he warned. "We are committed to partnering with other agencies to prevent the destruction of private or public properties," he added.

Danjuma's statement highlights the importance of verifying information before sharing it and assures the public of ongoing efforts to maintain safety and order.
