Police Disperse #EndBadGovernance Protesters in Bauchi Using Teargas

Operatives of the Bauchi Police Command fired tear gas canisters on Thursday, August 1, to disperse protesters participating in the #EndBadGovernance protests in the state. The Nation reports that the protesters, mostly youths, had gathered at Wunti Gate in the Bauchi metropolis before attempting to proceed to the Emir of Bauchi’s palace.

The police intervened and dispersed the crowd with tear gas canisters when the protesters insisted on meeting with the Emir.
