Police Disperse Protesters in Jigawa With Teargas

Police operatives have dispersed protesters at the entrance of Dutse Government House. The protesters were led by Jigawa Commissioner of Police Ahmed Tijjani Abdullahi.

The Commissioner and other security heads tried to engage with the protesters, who were chanting "Bamayi" in Hausa. However, the protesters refused their entreaties and began throwing stones and other objects at the Government House and security personnel.

In response, the police dispersed the crowd using tear gas.
