The Police in Oyo State have initiated an investigation into the kidnapping of Pastor Olugbenga Olawore of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and 14 others. Olawore and the passengers of a 14-seater bus were abducted along the Lanlate-Eruwa road in Oyo State.
SP Adewale Osifeso, the Command Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident in a text message to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday. Osifeso stated that the command had commenced investigations into the abduction and would provide updates accordingly.
Pastor Olawore is currently serving at the Heavens Gate Parish of the RCCG, Lagos Province 73, along Agbara-Lusada Road in Ogun State. He was returning from Ipapo town, where he was finalizing burial arrangements for his mother, Deaconess Deborah Olawore, scheduled for April 26.
