The Nigerian Police have captured the leader of a "one chance" robbery gang in Abuja, who physically assaulted a pregnant woman, leading to the loss of her pregnancy. The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, announced this on his official account on Sunday. Adejobi stated, "This is the leader of a one chance robbery gang in Abuja. He used a wheel spanner to assault a pregnant woman (a victim of one chance) until she suffered a miscarriage. The woman had been trying to conceive for over eight years. This act is sheer wickedness. He is currently facing trial in court and has been arrested for the same offense again."

The suspect's apprehension is part of the police's ongoing efforts to curb the activities of one chance robbery gangs in the area. The term "one chance" refers to a criminal tactic where unsuspecting victims are lured into vehicles under false pretenses and then robbed or harmed. The incident highlights the dangers faced by commuters and the need for increased security measures to protect the public from such criminal activities.

The Force Public Relations Officer emphasized the severity of the crime, particularly the callousness of attacking a pregnant woman. He urged the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police. The arrest of the gang leader demonstrates the police's commitment to ensuring the safety and security of citizens.
