Man United, Liverpool, and Chelsea are all reportedly interested in former Everton winger Ademola Lookman, according to sources in Italy. Lookman, who struggled during his initial Premier League stint with Everton, scoring only four goals in 48 appearances, has revitalized his career at Serie A side Atalanta.
Following a permanent move to RB Leipzig and subsequent loan spells at Fulham and Leicester City, Lookman found his form in Italy, netting 32 goals in 77 appearances for Atalanta. His standout performance came in the Europa League final in May, where he scored a hat-trick to secure a 3-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen, earning Atalanta their first European trophy.
Lookman's resurgence has caught the attention of top Premier League clubs, with Calciomercato claiming that Man Utd, Liverpool, and Chelsea are prepared to offer up to €60m (£51m) for the Nigeria international. Despite this interest, Atalanta is determined to retain Lookman, especially if they decide to sell Teun Koopmeiners, who is currently injured.
Reflecting on his Europa League final hat-trick, Lookman expressed his joy: "One of the best nights of my life. Amazing performance from the team. We did it, we did it, we did it! I’ve not got many words to say but, yeah, fantastic." Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch praised Lookman, calling him an "inspiration" for his ability to overcome setbacks and become a key player for Atalanta.
