President Tinubu Arrives in Malabo for Historic Three-Day Diplomatic Visit

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea, for a three-day official visit at the invitation of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. Upon his arrival at Malabo International Airport, Tinubu was welcomed by Prime Minister Manuela Roka Botey and proceeded to the Presidential Palace, known as the People's Palace Court, for a brief welcome ceremony.

The visit will feature a private meeting between President Tinubu and President Mbasogo, followed by the signing of bilateral agreements in key sectors such as oil and gas, security, and others. A military parade and a family photo session are also scheduled to take place at the People's Court.

President Tinubu is accompanied by several high-profile Nigerian officials, including Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar, Defense Minister Abubakar Badaru, and Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas) Ekperikpe Ekpo, among others. Representatives from the Nigerian business community, particularly the oil and gas sector, are also part of the delegation.

The day’s events will conclude with the signing of a historic visitors’ book, a press statement, and a formal dinner to mark the start of this significant diplomatic engagement.
