President Tinubu to Meet Labour Leaders on New Minimum Wage

President Bola Tinubu has invited the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) to a meeting at Aso Villa on Thursday, July 11, to discuss the Federal Government’s decision on a new national minimum wage. TUC President Festus Osifo confirmed the meeting on Thursday, July 10.

The President is expected to address the ₦62,000 proposal from the government and private sector, as well as the ₦250,000 demand from Organized Labour. The outcome of this meeting could significantly impact workers' wages and the economic landscape of the country.
