President Bola Tinubu has appealed for an immediate cessation of the nationwide protests that have been ongoing since Thursday. In a nationwide broadcast on Sunday morning, the President affirmed that his administration is ready to address the concerns of the protesters, having heard their calls "loud and clear."

“I hereby enjoin protesters and the organisers to suspend any further protest and create room for dialogue, which I have always acceded to at the slightest opportunity,” Tinubu stated regarding the #EndBadGovernance protests.

The President emphasized the need for unity and collective effort to reshape the nation’s future, urging all citizens, regardless of age, party, tribe, religion, or other divides, to work together.

The 10-day planned protest, primarily against the rising cost of living and hunger, has escalated into violence, property destruction, and loss of lives, with at least 17 people reported dead during the "days of rage" protests.
