Following the state council security meeting in Port Harcourt, the Governor warned against what he described as a plot to arrest his supporters on trumped-up charges, insisting that security agents must seek his approval before taking such actions.

Fubara affirmed his commitment to leading the state towards peace and protecting supporters standing for truth. He emphasized that there would be no extension of the tenure for elected local government chairmen, as both the law and the court have clearly stated.
