On Saturday night, robbers attacked a hotel located on 1st Avenue, Gwarimpa, Abuja, leaving several visitors injured, some of whom are currently fighting for their lives. Eyewitnesses reported that the hotel was violently invaded, with every visitor targeted, robbed, and subjected to stabbing and other severe injuries. One of the victims, a man in Abuja for a visa interview, is now in critical condition at the Accident and Emergency (A&E) unit of a nearby hospital. The circulating photo of this victim highlights the gravity of his injuries, including severe stab wounds, as he struggles for survival.
Efforts to reach the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, for comments on the incident have been unsuccessful, as calls and messages have not been responded to.
