Senator Mohammed Monguno (APC-Borno North) has replaced Senator Ali Ndume (APC-Borno South) as the Chief Whip of the Senate. This change was announced in a letter from the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The letter, titled “Complaints Against the Unbecoming Utterances of Sen. Ali Ndume,” was read by Akpabio during the plenary session on Wednesday. The decision comes in response to Senator Ndume's recent critical comments about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, where he accused the federal government of being run by thieves during a live program on Arise Television.
