Speaking at a meeting with national women leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, she described kidnappers as cowards for targeting women and children, and called for them to be treated as criminals deserving of severe punishment.
Senator Tinubu expressed her deep concern over the impact of kidnapping on families and society, noting that parents rely on their children as investments for the future. She stressed that the abduction of children from schools is unacceptable and called for decisive action against perpetrators. She emphasized the importance of protecting children and ensuring their safety and well-being.
The First Lady also highlighted the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, which focuses on creating opportunities for women to thrive economically, socially, and politically. She encouraged women leaders to play a crucial role in advocating for empowerment, inclusion, and welfare of women within the party and across the nation.
