Tinubu Administration Commits to Grassroots Development, Youth Empowerment in FCT

Minister for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Zaphaniah Jisalo, has affirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to revitalizing the local government system for the overall benefit of Nigeria.

Speaking at a football competition organized by the Mandate Secretary for Youth Affairs in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Jisalo emphasized the importance of grassroots sports in nurturing young talents and steering youths away from crime and social vices.

“The competition highlights a strategic approach to youth engagement and talent discovery, reinforcing the government’s dedication to empowering rural communities,” Jisalo said.

Special Adviser to the President on Youth and Sports, Anthony Adeyinka, also praised the initiative, noting that it reflects FCT youths’ support for the Tinubu administration. Adeyinka reiterated the government’s commitment to youth empowerment through entrepreneurship programs designed to engage and uplift young Nigerians.

Mandate Secretary Bitrus Garki commended the president’s focus on integrating rural communities into governance. He stated that the deliberate policies of the administration are beginning to yield positive results across FCT’s area councils, fostering a sense of inclusion and community development.

Traditional leader, the Zakari of Karu Chiefdom, Danfulani Narayi, expressed gratitude for the government’s efforts in uniting and strengthening FCT communities. “Events like this create unity among the youth while instilling a sense of ownership and responsibility in community development,” he said.

The event underscores the administration’s dedication to promoting grassroots sports and fostering a sense of community among FCT residents while empowering the youth for future leadership roles.
