President Bola Tinubu is set to commence an official visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands today, where he will engage in high-level discussions with Prime Minister Mark Rutte. The visit comes at the invitation of Prime Minister Rutte and underscores the importance of the bilateral relationship between Nigeria and the Netherlands.
During his visit, President Tinubu will meet with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima, who serves as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA). These meetings are expected to strengthen ties between the two countries and explore avenues for cooperation in various sectors.
Additionally, President Tinubu will participate in the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum, which seeks to foster collaboration and partnerships between Nigerian and Dutch businesses, with a focus on agriculture and water management. This forum presents an opportunity to promote trade and investment between the two nations.
Following his visit to the Netherlands, President Tinubu will travel to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to attend a special World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting scheduled for April 28-29. This meeting, themed "Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development," will bring together leaders from business, government, and academia to discuss ways to promote economic growth and development globally.
President Tinubu's visits to the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia are expected to contribute to the promotion of economic growth and development in Nigeria, as well as strengthen partnerships with these countries.
