Tinubu Pledges Support for Niger Delta Development

President Bola Tinubu is committed to the sustainable development, stability, and peace of the Niger Delta, according to Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Administrator Dr. Dennis Otuaro. Speaking at the Niger Delta Stakeholders’ Summit 2024 in Port Harcourt, Otuaro highlighted the President's strong political will to drive progress in the region.

Otuaro emphasized the critical role of communities and stakeholders in ensuring the region's development. He pointed out the importance of designing projects and contracts that consider the unique needs of riverine and upland areas, urging stakeholders to actively participate in the process.

He noted that the PAP recently held a four-day stakeholders' engagement in Warri, Delta State, to promote Tinubu's agenda for sustainable peace and growth. Otuaro underscored the necessity of stakeholders' involvement in maintaining peace and security, essential for the Niger Delta's development.

Otuaro called on stakeholders to leverage the NDDC summit to push the interventionist agency to achieve its goals. He stressed the need for stakeholders to support the NDDC's efforts, ensuring that their opinions are considered in project planning and implementation, particularly in riverine communities.
