President Bola Tinubu is set to attend the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) in the United Arab Emirates, scheduled to hold from January 12 to 18. A statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed that the President will depart Abuja on Saturday, January 11, following an invitation from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The summit, themed "The Nexus of Next; Supercharging Sustainable Progress," aims to bring together global leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to explore innovative solutions for sustainable development. Over its 15-year history, ADSW has fostered collaborations, strategic partnerships, and impactful agreements to address global challenges and accelerate economic growth worldwide.
President Tinubu will use the platform to showcase his administration’s reforms in energy sufficiency, transportation, public health, and economic development. His participation underscores Nigeria's commitment to advancing global sustainability goals and fostering international cooperation.
During the visit, Tinubu and his delegation, including Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar, will also meet with the UAE leadership to discuss bilateral relations. The President is expected to return to Nigeria on Thursday, January 16.
