Tinubu to Flag Off Security Summit in Katsina

President Bola Tinubu is set to arrive in Katsina on Monday, June 24, to inaugurate a two-day security summit organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the North West Governors' Forum. The event aims to address the persistent security challenges in the region.

Tinubu will deliver a keynote address at the Northwest Peace & Security Summit, themed "Regional Cooperation for Securing Lives and Livelihoods in North West, Nigeria." The summit will gather stakeholders, including governors and security experts, to propose solutions to terrorist attacks and other security issues.

In addition to the summit, Tinubu will commission a 16-bed dialysis center at General Amadi Rimi Specialist Hospital, Batagarawa. This healthcare project was initiated by Governor Dikko Umaru Radda and aims to enhance medical services in the region.

Furthermore, the president will perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new Katsina Eastern Bypass, which will span from Dutsinma Road to Kano Road, passing through Daura Road and ending at Yandaki Village in Kaita Local Government. This visit marks Tinubu's first trip to Katsina since his victory in the 2023 general elections.
