The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, has assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu is actively working to alleviate the current challenges they face. The SGF made this statement while welcoming Muslims in the country to the holy month of Ramadan, extending his best wishes to them as they begin the month-long fasting period.
In a statement released by the Director of Information in the Office of the SGF (OSGF), Segun Imohiosen, Akume encouraged Muslims to observe Ramadan according to the teachings of Prophet Mohammed. He emphasized President Tinubu's efforts to ease the burden caused by the removal of fuel subsidy, which has impacted the cost of living for many.
Akume urged Muslim faithful to use the fasting period to pray for peace, unity, prosperity, and stability in Nigeria. He emphasized the importance of following the teachings of the Prophet (S.A.W) as outlined in the Holy Qur’an during Ramadan.
