A tragic incident unfolded on Monday afternoon on the Kara Market overhead bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, where a suspected hit-and-run driver struck three pedestrians waiting for a bus. The driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to a fatal outcome for Yahaya Suleiman and Emeka, who were knocked off the bridge and later pronounced dead at the Lagos State Emergency Clinic in Ojota.
Eyewitness Issa, a pure water seller, recounted the harrowing scene, describing how the speeding vehicle collided with the pedestrians, causing two of them to plummet from the bridge due to the impact. The driver fled the scene immediately after the incident.
