A tragic building collapse in the Jegede, Olorunsogo area of Ona Ara Local Government, Ibadan, has left many feared dead. The incident, which occurred around 2 a.m. Thursday, resulted in a swift response from the Oyo State Fire Services.

Rev. Akinyemi Akinyinka, General Manager of the Oyo State Fire Services, confirmed that rescue teams received distress calls from neighbors shortly after the collapse. “As of this morning, 10 individuals have been pulled from the debris, with seven rescued alive,” he reported, expressing gratitude for the efforts but noting that search operations are ongoing to locate more individuals who might be trapped.

The scene remains active as emergency teams continue their rescue operations, with officials urging nearby residents to cooperate with the rescue efforts.
