An 80-year-old man, Isiyaka Ayinde, tragically ended his life at the Watch Tower in the Araromi Imota area of Lagos State. The incident, reported to have occurred on Thursday, March 7, involved Ayinde hanging himself with a rope in the kitchen. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, stating that the scene had been visited by DCB personnel and photographs were taken.
Hundeyin further explained that the family of the deceased preferred to bury the body immediately rather than depositing it at the mortuary, citing the age and religious inclination of Ayinde. The reasons behind Ayinde's decision to take his own life remain unclear, as investigations into the incident are ongoing.
