The troops recovered guns, ammunition, and other items, giving residents more confidence in the security forces.
On September 26, soldiers at Abaji got intel about bandits moving through Agurugu village. They confronted them at Sheekan, forcing the criminals to run. Afterward, they found a pistol, bullets, AK-47 magazines, and 29 mobile phones left behind.
Then on September 28, another patrol around Igyudu village chased away more bandits. This time, they recovered a single-barrel gun, more bullets, AK-47 and G3 magazines, a grenade, tear gas canister, medical kits, and a phone.
