Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has identified two Arsenal players his team must watch out for ahead of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash. Tuchel singled out Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka as key figures in the Arsenal lineup.
"We know our strengths and how to exploit their weaknesses. The Champions League demands a different style of play where our experience can be advantageous," Tuchel stated confidently.
"Odegaard plays a pivotal role in their attacks and his partnership with Bukayo Saka is crucial," he added. "We need to find ways to disrupt their rhythm and make it difficult for them."
Bayern has a dominant record against Arsenal, having won 5-1 in each of their last three encounters and knocking them out of the Champions League four times in the past 19 years.
The Bavarians have lifted the Champions League trophy six times, most recently in 2020, while Arsenal is still chasing their first title in the competition.
Tuchel, who guided Chelsea to Champions League victory in 2021, emphasized the importance of containing Arsenal's threat from set-pieces. He acknowledged Arsenal's prowess in dead-ball situations and their dominance in the Premier League.
