The victims, Hauwa’u Yakubu and Zahra’u Aliyu, were both wives of Alhaji Ashiru Shu’aibu Usaini, according to a family source.
Early findings suggest that one of the women was stabbed before the fire started, while the second was later discovered dead inside the batbathroom

Rivers State Police Command has arrested ten suspected cultists believed to be behind the violent supremacy battle that has plagued the Diobu area of Port Harcourt for months.
A stepson of the victims, Anas Shu’aibu, said the tragedy happened around midday while the husband and children were not at home. “We found the burnt body of one of them, while the other was locked in the bathroom. When we forced the door open, she was already dead,” he said.
The husband has called on security authorities to ensure that those behind the killings are brought to justice.
This incident comes on the heels of other disturbing cases in the state, including the recent arrest of a key suspect in the April murder of 22-year-old Rumaisa Haruna in Farawa Quarters.
