U.S. Embassy in Nigeria Switches to New Visa Services Provider

Embassy

The U.S. Embassy in Abuja and the U.S. Consulate General in Lagos have transitioned to a new visa services provider, as announced on the Embassy’s official website. This change affects non-immigrant visa applicants, with those having interviews scheduled before August 16, 2024, advised that no additional action is required.

However, for interviews scheduled on or after August 26, 2024, applicants must use the newly active visa services website, which now handles fee payments, appointment scheduling, and customer services. The Embassy made the announcement on its official X handle, @USinNigeria, encouraging users to schedule appointments on the new platform.

The new website, www.usvisaappt.com, is the official portal for creating accounts, paying visa fees, and scheduling appointments. It also offers enhanced customer support, including an online chat application for quick responses to visa-related queries.
