Real Madrid forward Vinícius Junior could face disciplinary action from FIFA after allegations surfaced regarding his potential violation of football regulations. The Brazilian star, who has been pivotal in Real Madrid's success this season, is under investigation for allegedly co-owning multiple football clubs while still an active player.

The investigation was triggered by a complaint lodged with FIFA’s Ethics Committee by Brazilian investment firm Tiberis Holding. The complaint claims that Vinícius, through his company ALL Agenciamento Desportivo—co-owned with his father and businessman Thassilo Soares—has been involved in acquiring and managing football clubs. Reports suggest that in February, the 25-year-old winger allegedly purchased Portuguese second-division club Alverca for €10 million. Additionally, Tiberis Holding claims that Vinícius’s company acquired a 16.5% stake in Brazil's Athletic Club de São João del-Rei.

The allegations center around possible conflicts of interest, as both FIFA and the Spanish Football Federation prohibit active players from owning or controlling football clubs. This includes cases where such ownership might create a potential conflict of interest. If found guilty, Vinícius Junior could face severe consequences, including a fine or suspension of up to two years from all football-related activities.

FIFA’s ongoing investigation into the matter highlights the governing body’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of the sport and preventing potential conflicts between players' business dealings and their professional responsibilities.
