The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, voiced his dissatisfaction with the presence of cattle in Abuja city on Wednesday, March 6. He reassured concerned residents that steps are being taken to address the issue. Wike made these comments during a meeting with the Belgian Ambassador to Nigeria, Daniel Bertrand.

During the meeting, Wike stated that he has engaged with various stakeholders to find a solution to the roaming of cattle within the city. He emphasized the importance of adopting multifaceted approaches to tackle insecurity in the FCT, which the administration is already implementing.

Furthermore, Wike mentioned that his administration is working closely with private sector transportation companies to enhance security in the city. Ambassador Bertrand expressed satisfaction with Wike's efforts to combat the cattle roaming issue and expressed interest in bringing investors from Belgium to partner with the FCTA for the development of the nation's capital.
